Why Am I The Right Person To Write This Workbook?
My name is Reneé Blanchard and I launched Bossy Like Me in 2015 because I wanted to learn from as many small business owners as I could. So I started interviewing them!
But I am a campaigner and a project manager for environmental non-profits by trade. For ten years I wrote scientific reports gathered by professional and citizen scientists so everyday people can make real change for their communities. I helped plan for and then put into action campaigns that empower large corporations to eliminate toxic chemicals from their consumer products.
Then in 2012, I caught the entrepreneurial spirit! I opened a cafe in New Orleans, LA, and became a small business owner. I took all my project management skills and tested them in the restaurant business.
I loved my career before owning a restaurant because it taught me how to be incredibly organized and plan ahead for all kinds of possible challenges. I wrote this book because I know what it takes to build a successful small business. I took my non-profit and small business ownership experiences and wrote this workbook on strategic planning specifically for small business owners.
I know the information in this book can help create more resilient small businesses that can weather big storms and create great success that truly benefits our communities.
